ESET - Installing Endpoint Antivirus for Business

Remove other non-ESET antivirus products first.

If you not using a ESET product already, please remove other antivirus products first, you can do this from your add/remove applications area https://help.supportu.nz/portal/kb/articles/removing-applications-on-windows-10  or download the ESET AV remover from this link: https://www.eset.com/int/support/av-remover/

You may be prompted to restart your computer before installing ESET Endpoint Antivirus.


Remove previous versions of ESET antivirus first

Versions are known as major and minor, this applies to Major version changes.

If upgrading to a new major version, say version 6.x up to 7.x, the first number is a major, the x is a minor. You must uninstall the ESET software before installing the newer major version.

Once you have a software package downloaded, run the installer and follow the prompts as per screenshots showing below.

Once completed, you may be prompted to restart your computer

As of article creation, this is showing version 7.2 but has been similar for all versions since 6.x


Windows Smart Screen feature for Windows 10 will show during fresh installation of ESET Endpoint software, otherwise skip to the third screenshot (Windows standard run prompt).
