Remote Desktop - Remote (Redirected) Printers

Remote printers are useful when you work from a remote/home office. This article is to help you disable or enable remote (redirected) printers when using a remote desktop session.

The driver software for your specific printer must already be installed by the administrator within the remote desktop service to work.
1. Right click the remote desktop saved on your desktop, choose "Edit"
Click on the "Show Options" to show all settings

Under "Local Resources" tab, de-select "Printers" tick-box if you do not want to have local installed printers presented to the remote desktop session

Once settings have been adjusted and if you need to retain these sessings, choose "General" tab, then select the "Save" button. Connect as normal afterwards
